Nationwide Regional Directors Take on Build-A-Bike® Team Bike Build in Columbus, Ohio

This group didn’t need much warm-up. As soon as the challenge started, teams jumped straight into it and got to work. People split responsibilities quickly, compared notes across tables, and kept things moving without overthinking. The pace picked up almost immediately, and the room turned into a mix of quick conversations, problem-solving, and a little bit of good-natured trash talk.

Some teams focused on speed, while others double-checked every step before moving on. Either way, everyone stayed locked in. The competitive edge kept things interesting, but the tone never got too serious. There was plenty of joking around between rounds, especially when teams realized how close the race actually was. By the time the bikes started coming together, the whole group was fully dialed in.

As the builds wrapped up, the focus shifted to where the bikes were headed next. Each one would be donated through Communities In Schools of Ohio, supporting students who benefit from additional resources. Addie helped coordinate everything on the charity side, keeping the process smooth and organized. The group got a clear picture of how their work would be used, which gave the activity a solid finish without slowing the momentum.

We give a big thank you to Nationwide for their generous contribution to local children. We also appreciate Communities In Schools of Ohio for their continued impact and partnership.
