Potter Global Technologies brought its leadership team to Scottsdale, AZ to build bikes for charity during a conference at the Scottsdale Marriott Old Town. On January 28, 2026, 82 leaders from around the country gathered in sunny Arizona for the event. While the conference included strategic meetings and discussions, the group also wanted something interactive that would give back locally. The Build-A-Bike® session delivered exactly that. By the end of the activity, participants had completed ten bicycles that were later donated to Sunshine Acres Children’s Home in nearby Mesa.

Potter Global Technologies Leaders Build Bikes During Charity Team Building Challenge in Scottsdale, Arizona
Once the conference sessions wrapped up, the ballroom at the Scottsdale Marriott Old Town shifted into a bike-building workshop. The 82 participants split into teams and jumped straight into the Build-A-Bike®. Instead of just assembling bikes, teams had to solve clues and complete quick challenges to earn the parts they needed. Tables filled with tools, instructions, and plenty of enthusiastic problem solving as the groups worked their way through the process.
The competition kept the pace moving. Some teams focused on speed while others double-checked every bolt before moving on. A few leaders discovered that bike assembly is a lot easier when everyone communicates clearly. Between strategy debates and bursts of laughter, the room stayed lively from start to finish.
As the final bikes came together, the competitive energy gave way to celebration. Ten completed bicycles were lined up and ready for donation to Sunshine Acres Children’s Home in Mesa. Representatives from the charity joined the group for the handoff. John arrived early, shared a few words with the participants, and even brought a truck and helper to load the bikes. Watching the bikes roll out toward their new homes wrapped up the activity on a high note.
We thank Potter Global Technologies for including the Mesa community in their leadership gathering. We also appreciate Sunshine Acres Children’s Home for the incredible work they do supporting children in the area.
