Case Systems and BOSTONtec Employees Pick Up Speed During Bike Build Charity Team Event in Midland, Michigan

The setup inside the Great Hall felt hectic right away. With 178 employees spread across teams, there was movement in every direction. Groups jumped into challenges almost immediately, working to earn bike parts while trying to stay ahead of the clock. The shortened format gave the activity a “speed run” feel, which meant quick decisions mattered just as much as teamwork.

Some teams organized themselves with clear roles from the start. Others figured things out midstream and adjusted on the fly. Either way, nobody stayed still for long. The room carried a steady mix of problem solving, joking between teammates, and quick strategy huddles. Since the pace never really dipped, the energy stayed consistent from the first challenge to the final bike build.

As bikes started rolling off the assembly stations, the scale of the effort became more obvious. By the end of the event, the group completed 22 bicycles for donation. The bikes went to the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Great Lakes Bay Region, connecting the activity to a local cause. Their team made the donation process easy to coordinate, which helped everything wrap up smoothly. Seeing the completed bikes lined up together gave everyone a clear picture of what the group accomplished in a short amount of time.

We give a big thank you to Case Systems and BOSTONtec for supporting local children through this Build-A-Bike® event. We also appreciate the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Great Lakes Bay Region for helping make the donation process seamless.
