Wells Fargo wrapped up its 10-week management training program with a bike build charity event in Charlotte, NC at Connections Charlotte at Brevard. On January 14, 2026, forty management trainees stepped out of the classroom and into a hands-on finale. These participants were already established professionals within Wells Fargo, so the bar was high. The Build-A-Bike® event gave them a practical, fast-paced way to close the program. By the end of the session, the group had completed brand-new bikes for local children.

Wells Fargo Management Trainees Mark Program Completion With Bike Build Charity Event in Charlotte, North Carolina
Instead of ending the program with another presentation, the group finished with action. After a short briefing, we divided the 40 trainees into teams and launched the challenge. Each group worked through a series of clues to earn the components needed to assemble their bikes. The room stayed organized but competitive, reflecting the experience level of the participants.
Time management, delegation, and clear communication moved to the forefront. Teams assigned roles quickly and adjusted strategies as they progressed. As the bikes took shape, participants checked details carefully to ensure every build met the standard. The event gave them a chance to apply leadership skills in a completely different setting. Once all bikes were complete, the group prepared them for donation to Trips For Kids Charlotte. The final lineup marked a tangible finish to ten weeks of development. The trainees left with more than a certificate. They walked away with a shared accomplishment tied directly to the Charlotte community.
We thank Wells Fargo for pairing leadership development with local impact. We also appreciate Trips For Kids Charlotte for supporting children through this partnership.
