Metaconex gathered for a Build-A-Bike® charity team building event in Lethbridge, Alberta. With sixteen participants, some local and others from across the country, this year-end celebration brought together team members who were meeting face-to-face for the first time. The event took place at the Lethbridge and District Exhibition Building. Therein, the small but enthusiastic group engaged in warm-up activities before successfully building four bicycles for donation.
Metaconex began by providing 24-hour technical support for the hotel industry, placing the highest value on timely and exceptional customer service. As the company has grown, they’ve expanded their expertise into the telecommunications infrastructure industry, where their skills have proven to be in high demand. Their team possesses diverse experience including outside and inside plant (Technical Rigging), cellular rigging, I&R, optical and copper network installation and troubleshooting, DC power systems, wireless network installation, and limited civil services.

The Build-A-Bike® event created a valuable opportunity for Metaconex employees from different locations to connect personally, with some meeting their colleagues in person for the first time. The team enthusiastically participated in warm-up activities designed to foster communication and teamwork, creating a foundation of collaboration that would serve them well during the bike-building challenge. The year-end celebration provided a perfect backdrop for strengthening relationships among team members who typically collaborate remotely.
Throughout the event, the energy remained high. Participants worked together to overcome challenges and assemble four high-quality bicycles.
