Budget Blinds came together on August 5th for a charity bike build in Coppell, Texas. Ninety Budget Blinds franchise owners built them and donated each one to CASA Collin County. A charity bike build served as the centerpiece of the franchise’s national gathering.
Budget Blinds is one of North America’s largest window covering franchise brands. Each owner runs an independent local business. Franchise owners are used to making decisions — including decisions about how to give back.
When Franchise Owners Compete, Communities Win at Bike Build in Coppell
Ninety franchise owners walk into a room with something in common. Each one already gives back in their own territory. Sponsoring a local team or donating to a food bank, it is already part of the culture. A Build-A-Bike® event channels that collective instinct into something visible and immediate.
The format is simple but energizing. Teams compete in a series of skill-based challenges. Win a challenge, earn a bike component. The competition is friendly, but the goal is building something that matters.
Eight complete bicycles crossed the finish line. CASA Collin County received every one of them. CASA trains and supervises volunteers who advocate for children navigating the court system. For many of those children, a bike means someone cared.
