Last week Q2 participated in a Build-A-Bike activity. This was an extra exciting event because this was their first time being together in person since COVID restrictions. In fact, it had been so long since they had an in-person event that they had to clean out the conference room because it was used for storage during covid.

They had their marketing team fly in from all over the nation, and even the UK, to their headquarters in Austin, TX. This team’s energy was great. You could tell they were excited to be back in person together. Some of them even dressed up for their holiday party that was happening after. The laughs were already erupting before the event started.

We started off the event with an activity that helped them increase their memory. The trick that was taught showed them how that just because we are taught to do something a certain way, doesn’t mean that it’s the best way. Later on, I learned that you have to be extremely creative to work on the marketing at Q2. There is a portion of the event where teams have to create a team flag. These teams created some of the best flags I have seen.

Marketing Team at Q2 Donates Bikes to Kids in Austin, TX.

Along with being fairly creative, these teams were also super smart! They powered through all of the puzzles much faster than most groups I have worked with and received all of their bike pieces.

They were so excited by their finished bicycles that a few teams had to take theirs for a test drive. The teams even helped wheel the 8 bikes out to our truck so we could deliver them to the Boys And Girls Club of the Austin Area. This donation came at a great time for them because Q2’s bikes are being distributed as Christmas gifts for their club kids.

Happy Holidays!
