SC Thrive Builds Bicycles and Team Spirit in Columbia, South Carolina
The Build-A-Bike® event offered the perfect opportunity for SC Thrive to integrate their newly hired staff with existing team members. Taking place at their own headquarters in Columbia, the event created a collaborative environment where colleagues could interact outside their typical work roles, revealing new strengths and fostering deeper connections. Teams worked together to assemble bicycles, transitioning from individual contributors to cohesive units with a shared purpose.
During the event, participants engaged enthusiastically in the bicycle assembly challenges. They demonstrated their commitment to both teamwork and community impact. Overall, the energy in the room was electric. Teams competed and collaborated, building relationships while constructing bicycles. The CEO and staff were delighted to meet Anne Wright from the Salvation Army. She attended to accept the donation of bicycles for children in the Columbia area. The event successfully achieved its primary goal of strengthening internal team dynamics while making a meaningful contribution to the community, reinforcing SC Thrive’s mission of helping South Carolinians thrive.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to SC Thrive for their generous contribution to children in need. We’d also like to thank the Salvation Army. Their commitment to serving the community and for participating in this meaningful event won’t go unnoticed!
