Morgan Lewis by bringing 145 attorneys together for a Build-A-Bike® charity team building event in Washington, DC. Held at the Fairmont in Washington DC, the firm’s annual Summer Kickoff gave its newest class of attorneys a chance to meet, connect, and work together outside the office. Morgan Lewis Welcomes New Attorneys with a Build-A-Bike® Event at Their Summer Kickoff in Washington DC
For many attendees, this was one of their first opportunities to spend meaningful time with colleagues they had only recently met. Instead of relying on traditional introductions, Morgan Lewis gave its incoming attorneys a chance to get to know each other through action.
The room stayed busy from start to finish. Teams tackled challenges, exchanged ideas, and worked together to earn the parts needed to complete their bikes. New hires quickly found common ground while solving problems and working toward a shared objective. The atmosphere felt competitive but relaxed, giving everyone a chance to contribute.
Over the course of the 90-minute program, connections formed naturally. Associates supported one another, shared responsibilities, and communicated effectively under pressure. Their teamwork stood out throughout the event and helped create a welcoming environment for the firm’s newest legal talent.
The finished bicycles added an extra layer of meaning to the day. Representatives from Christ Child Society, DC joined the event to accept the donation and explain how the bikes would benefit local children and families. Their message helped connect the group’s efforts to a larger purpose. Knowing the bicycles would go directly to kids in the community made the final presentation especially rewarding for everyone involved.
We would like to thank Morgan Lewis for once again partnering with The Leaders Institute and supporting children in the Washington community. We also extend our appreciation to Christ Child Society, DC for the incredible work its volunteers continue to do for local families and children.
