Partners Group Invigorate Leadership Meeting in Broomfield

Partners Group Invigorate Leadership Meeting in BroomfieldPartners Group recently brought together sixty-four team members for a Build-A-Bike® corporate team event at their leadership meeting in Broomfield, Colorado. The activity took place during a leadership summit that included employees from two high-performing groups within the company. Instead of another round of presentations and breakout sessions, the group spent the event building bikes, competing in team challenges, and getting to know coworkers outside their usual day-to-day interactions. By the end of the program, the teams had assembled bicycles that would support local families through the YMCA of Northern Colorado.

Partners Group is a global private markets firm with USD 185 billion in assets under management and approximately 2,000 professionals across 24 offices worldwide. The firm focuses on identifying thematic growth trends and transforming businesses into market leaders. Partners Group also emphasizes responsible investing and works to create positive, lasting value for clients, communities, and stakeholders around the world.

Partners Group Teams Turn Leadership Meeting Into Build-A-Bike® Competition in Broomfield, Colorado

The room shifted gears quickly once the Build-A-Bike® really kicked off. Participants split into eight teams and immediately got competitive while working through puzzles, problem-solving activities, and bike assembly tasks. Some teams focused on speed, while others leaned heavily into strategy and communication. Either way, the energy stayed high throughout the event as coworkers cheered each other on and raced to finish their builds.

Because the meeting included employees from different parts of the organization, the event also created plenty of opportunities for people to connect with coworkers they normally would not work alongside. Conversations became more relaxed as the activity progressed, and teams naturally settled into a rhythm while balancing competition with collaboration. The event felt less like a formal corporate meeting and more like a fast-moving group challenge with a meaningful outcome attached to it.

Once the bicycles were completed, the focus turned toward the donation for families supported by the YMCA of Northern Colorado. Brittany and two additional YMCA staff members joined the event and even stepped in to help judge several of the bike-building clues and activities. Their involvement added a personal connection to the experience and gave participants a clearer picture of where the bikes would be going. The donated bicycles will help provide children and families in the north Boulder area with transportation, outdoor recreation, and memorable experiences throughout the year.

We give a big thank you to Partners Group for supporting local families through this Build-A-Bike® event. We’d also like to thank the YMCA of Northern Colorado for the incredible work they continue to do throughout the region.
