At PepsiCo’s Build-a-Bike event in Denver, Colorado, team bonding took a wild turn—straight into a bicycle-building frenzy. Thirty fresh recruits swapped spreadsheets for screwdrivers in a team building activity designed to unite, energize, and maybe spark a little competitive chaos. They started off quiet, but it didn’t take long before laughter filled the room and flags were flying like it was the Tour de Teamwork.
PepsiCo isn’t just about iconic snacks and fizzy favorites (although, yes, they have those in spades). With brands like Pepsi, Gatorade, and Lay’s, the company fuels people across more than 200 countries. But PepsiCo also fuels purpose—driven by innovation, community impact, and a mission to create joy with every sip, crunch, or team-building event.
PepsiCo Builds Bikes and Bonds in the Heart of Denver
This wasn’t your average onboarding orientation. The PepsiCo crew dove into the challenge with surprising speed. First came cautious curiosity. Then came colorfully chaotic flag designs. And by the time the last tire was tightened, not a single washer had gone rogue. (Which is nearly unheard of.) Whether they were channeling their inner mechanics or just winging it with flair, every teammate brought their A-game.
Those four perfectly assembled bikes rolled on to their next destination: the Boys & Girls Club of Denver. Even though the kids couldn’t attend in person the impact was still real. Ian Jacobs coordinated the entire handoff like a philanthropic ninja. Meanwhile, Jordan, who joined us onsite, radiated energy and gave a heartfelt closing that brought the whole experience full circle.
A huge thank-you to PepsiCo for proving that teamwork and kindness go hand in hand (or handlebar to handlebar). And hats off to the Boys & Girls Club of Denver for making sure those bikes landed in deserving hands.
